About the Artist
“The Creative Process is my Lifelong Pursuit”
Vision: to stir a response in the viewer to my art, by utilizing expressive brush strokes, and focusing on the light and amplifying.
Finding joy through creative expression is a big part of me. Art is my passion, but I love dance and photography as well. In college I studied retail business and art. As a buyer of designer womens-wear, I honed my eye for fine design. In my mid-thirties I studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy. I established a business with two artist friends creating custom paint designs for interiors. We worked on shared creative visions. A Michigan workshop with Al Maciag launched me into plein air painting.
I primarily paint in rich creamy oils, and focus on capturing the light and shadows on landscapes and people. I love color and energetic brush strokes. I see beauty everywhere and have a need to convey that. Studio time has become a practiced part of my process.
When not painting, I am often hiking or traveling. As I explore the world I compose photographs with future art projects in mind. My art enhances my observation skills and propels my curiosity. My life informs my art. My creative pursuits are central to my being.

Created landscaped portrait commissions
Interior Design work published in national magazines, including Better Homes and Gardens, New Home, and Homes on Water.
